48073 is the number i find most hard to remember.
The disadvantage of being a number is that some online systems do not eat short names or names containing only numbers.

About me
Way back in 2000 I started an online art project, communicating to the world by creating and showing online one new painting each day, for the rest of my life. Soon after the start I was hacked, unable to continue my online presence...
Two years later I was reborn under another name. As an artist I now live as brand 48073™ in RL, on my computer and on the web. I like this brand to show up in all kind of high/low cultures, online and IRL.
The number was born on the web, december 2002. It is the number I find hardest to remember.
About my artwork
I started making solid paintings in 1990. I saw and cut them into pieces, rearranging them and re-assemble them into new images. Pictures taken from these paintings are then re-combined and transformed using a computer.
From that moment on the painting lives a virtual life, the 'original' becomes redundant to the point that it does not even matter if the original still exists.
The painting lives as part of the digital world, somehow becoming more “real” this way, like I feel more “real” being a number.

Als kunstenaar leef ik als nummer 48073. opleiding Design Academy Eindhoven. Het nummer is op het web geboren, december 2002. Het is het nummer dat ik het slechtst kan onthouden.
Ik schilder fulltime vanaf 1990 tot heden. De schilderijen worden versneden, verzaagd, vernietigd tot hieruit weer nieuwe beelden ontstaan. Foto's hiervan worden gecombineerd en getransformeerd met behulp van een computer.
Vanaf dat moment leeft het schilderij virtueel, het 'origineel' wordt overbodig tot het punt waardoor het er niet meer toe doet of het origineel nog bestaat. De schilderijen zijn deel geworden van de digitale wereld, op een of andere manier hierdoor meer 'echt', zoals ik me 'echter' voel als nummer.
